Congratulations to November’s Member of the Month – Kat Fish!
Kat has seen amazing results over the past month and it definitely has not gone unnoticed to us all. She won this months award hands down!
Her extra work on her technique, strength and focus on nailing her nutrition has been incredible. She is looking better, feeling better and filling up the PB board.
Kat proves that hard work gets results!

How long have you been doing CrossFit and how did you get started?
I’ve been doing CrossFit just over a year now. Before that I had no fitness background what so ever, unless you count having a gym membership and barely having the motivation to go! I was that typical lazy person who would sit around all day playing video games, watching movies and living on sugar filled energy drinks.
After discovering The Fittest On Earth on Netflix and watching it a silly amount of times I searched for CrossFit in the area and CFN popped up first on the list. One class and I was hooked. The gym membership went right out the window! I think just I hit that point where I needed to stop saying I was going to do something about my lack of fitness and start doing something about it. CrossFit was definitely the kick start I needed to get off my butt.
What are your favourite workouts/movements and least favourite?
I enjoy it all as you get so many different workouts and movements but if I had to pick my top three would be back squats, DB snatches and clean and jerks.
Least favourite would be handstands (most of us have seen the video by now haha), running or the airdyne but I know I won’t get better unless I keep doing it!
What are your goals?
To replace Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and not feel like Danny DeVito in spandex when I look at myself in the mirror!
I guess my goal is to see how far I can go with building a healthier, stronger me. I started off for a good six months with the goal of getting off the 7kg bar and onto the 15kg. Now I’d love to build up my strength enough that I am able to hit workouts at an RX level.
What do you do outside of CrossFit?
Why would you want to do anything else? Ha.
I watch a lot of movies and TV Shows, drink coffee and am still glued to my gaming. Complete nerd. I fix a lot of computer/phone/tech related issues. We all need that one friend who can do that right?
Tell us one thing that people may be surprised to know about you?
I used to be a tattooist. Scary right?
What do you love most about CrossFit Norwich?
The atmosphere and the people. Most who know me know I have a huge lack of confidence so being able to walk into a place that pushes and supports you can be everything. It keeps you coming back.
Any words of wisdom for new members?
Don’t give up! If you can’t do something keep trying and you will get there. Practice!
